About Joe
Military Experience
Joe McNamara is a former combat-decorated U.S. Marine Corps ground force commander and founder of The Iron Leader Team. He led elite teams through multiple combat deployments to Afghanistan and was then selected to command and lead Marine Corps Drill Instructors where he mentored and coached the leaders responsible for training our nation’s next generation of warriors.
Professional Experience
A graduate of Virginia Tech, Joe also earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina. After business school, Joe joined one of the Nation’s top real estate development firms and built an award-winning sales team. Leveraging the lessons learned as a military and business leader, Joe founded The Iron Leader. He and his team have partnered with athletes, coaches, and corporate teams nationwide – cultivating championship cultures, great leaders, and high-performing teams.
